Healthcare Team

Amid market growth attributable to rapid aging and a persistent gap between supply and demand, ACA’s Healthcare Team manages an industry-specific fund based on a unique investment strategy suited to the changing investment environment.

A fund specializing in the healthcare industry

The Healthcare Team manages an industry-specific fund targeting the healthcare industry – the only one of its kind in Japan. It has invested in long-term care businesses, businesses related to the medical field, and related real estate.
While it will continue investing in these domains, its focus is on expanding its investment into new businesses and new facilities, including those in the medical field.

Knowledge and expertise gathered by a fixed membership

The membership of the Healthcare Team has not changed since the outset. All members also serve in positions such as directors of portfolio companies, where they continue to closely monitor the candid views of people in the field and the latest industry information. They provide full backing for portfolio companies and proactively support various activities, including negotiations with outside parties. For these reasons, they accumulate knowledge and expertise from everyday activities, not impractical desktop theories.

An extensive network within the industry

As a team of specialists active in investments in the healthcare industry, the Healthcare Team has built an extensive network with partners ranging from medical corporations and operators of long-term care services through related businesses in areas including real estate, finance, human resources, medical products and pharmaceuticals, dispensing pharmacies, nutritional services, and equipment and supplies. Of these, the team is building even stronger relationships as strategic partners with companies capable of working with ACA to provide backing for portfolio companies based on their approval of its investment strategies and policies.

Management support

By leveraging ACA’s knowledge, expertise, and network and working with its strategic partners, the Healthcare Team helps portfolio companies increase corporate value through comprehensive business evaluations and extensive management support, fully applying each of these strengths.
